You’ve all met a person who’s a loser. Some people like the word and some people don’t but who really cares. Doesn’t show love to the world. Makes you feel demotivated and uninspired. What makes me qualified to talk about losers? I was a loser, so I know what it’s like to be one intimately. I slept in and found it hard to face the day. I drank way too much alcohol to try and numb the pain. I didn’t do myself any favors with the opposite sex. I watched a lot of TV and ate the worst food that you could possibly consume. Yeah, don't you doubt me If you're wise then spread the word If you're alive then why aren't you living? And I want the world, and I want the world. And all the life I've had, I've spent Looking out for someone who knows We won't come down, 'cos I'm a million strong And so is the light I've found.

It is Waters' first solo album since Amused to Death (1992), and his first studio work since the opera Ça Ira (2005).
On this album of the same title, Waters speaks about the current events in the world that anger him, like drone attacks and the refugee crisis
