Recorded at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio on August 9, 1978, during the band's Darkness Tour, the show is considered by many fans and critics to be one of the most essential live recordings by Springsteen and the E Street Band. Rolling Stone said of the recording "This is simply the greatest live LP this greatest of live rockers has ever officially released. The show was originally broadcast live on the radio with bootlegs circulating for years but this marks the first official release of the album, completely restored and remastered.

I guess someone wanted to make it official but this doesn't seem to have the 'stamp of approval' from the group themselves. But, this was a live broadcast on WMMS-FM "The Buzzard" in Cleveland, OH back on August 26, 1974. For those of us who grew up around Cleveland, this station was the ultimate in the midwest. It's a good set and you can hear the hunger of the band and the virtuoso playing already. Back in those days, we didn't have digital recording and digital sequencers and auto-tune and all this stuff we have today.
