The Metropolitan Opera have today released details of their 2018/19 season. Announcing concurrently that Yannick Nézet-Séguin will take up the role of Music Director two seasons earlier than expected, the 2018/19 season will see three operas and two Carnegie Hall concerts conducted by Yannick, four new productions, a revival of Robert Lepage’s production of Der Ring des Nibelungen, and house debuts for seven AH artists. In April, Adam Plachetka sings Leporello in Mozart’s Don Giovanni alongside Dmitry Belosselskiy as The Commedatore. Aida Garifullina performs in the February production as Zerlina.
