It turns out midnight on 2nd May was indie's Great Buzz Apocalypse. Fans of hype-y fanbases will know that, over the past few years, there are two in particular who have risen to dominance. One, obviously, is the rabid, insatiable gang aligning themselves with The 1975. Understandably obsessed with their heroes, they'll delve deeper than any other to follow the threads. Delving deep, it looks like there may be a new track titled 'Quarter Past Midnight'. On the other hand, we know Bastille have finished work on their third album. We also know they've got festival appearances coming up this summer - including a headline slot at Neverworld.
Midnight Memories (Deluxe). Perhaps fitting for a vocal group that were formed during a TV singing competition, One Direction's third LP begins and ends reflexively, opening with a tune about dancing to the perfect tune and closing with a song in which the boys can't describe a recent love affair except through other songs. In between, the fivesome's own efforts range from the string-snapping Mumford post-folk of "Through the Dark" and "Happily" to the guitar rock of "Little Black Dress. Not what you'd expect from the biggest teen-pop album of 2013,.
Another Midnight Lyrics. He was a coal miner in the spring Blinded with its dusty resolutions Broke his back for higher contributions Now he'd take anything Well, she was nineteen seventy Burning like a cigarette long season Heir to all her family's old treasons She makes love hard like an enemy. And the river don't sleep When the water runs cold And the calendar burns As the story unfolds And the valley spans miles When the mountain stands high Can't they let us run wild For another midnight For just another midnight. Perhaps we're an election.
Minutes To Midnight is a collection of songs that vary greatly in style. The nu-metal guitar riffs, the angst-inspired lyrics of the previous two albums have been all but abolished; yes, the album has a far greater emphasis on softer, more subtly composed material. In Pieces, perhaps the strongest track on the album, possesses a quiet intensity that grips you from the very beginning, and Chester’s superb vocal performance carries the track to success. Despite the evident focus on the softer material, Minutes To Midnight does also have a few heavy moments, namely, Given Up and No More Sorrow.

Perhaps, your junior high’s yearbook named you most likely to succeed; a cute coworker smiled at you the end of a long, drear. Maybe the album you recorded with three of the world’s top producers will fail to yield a top 40 single. Maybe a night out with that girl from work won’t go exactly as planned. Better to regret things we’ve done than those that we didn’t, right? And we’ll always have the stories. Like a Pop Song’s stories, musings, videos, images, and songs - originals and covers - try to recapture that feeling of lying in bed and losing yourself in an album that gets you better than your friends and family. Black Sails at Midnight. Alestorm's 2009 LP release "Black Sails at Midnight" is not only a very fun, light-hearted, and most enjoyable album to experience, but is also a major achievement in its execution of upper division songwriting theories and practices. The balance of the album is perfect. Any perceived fluff is backed by a powerful and heavy rhythm section
