The Sun and the Moon is the second album by New York-based rock band The Bravery. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien and released in the United States on May 22, 2007 (see 2007 in music). The album's title comes from lyrics in both "Angelina" and "The Ocean".
We always see the same side of the moon from the Earth. The source of the dark side misconception is: because we always see the same side of the moon from the Earth. We can call it as the near side, and we don’t see the other side from Earth, so, the far side is a more accurate term than the dark side. Until 1959, nobody has seen the far side of the moon. In 1959 a Soviet spacecraft named Luna 3, or E-2A N. was launched as part of the Soviet Union’s Luna programme (a series of robotic spacecraft missions sent to the Moon by the Soviet Union between 1959 and 1976). It was the first-ever mission to photograph the far side of the Moon. There’s a great video published by the youtube channel MinuteEarth which explains that why we only ever see one side of the Moon. Pay no attention to the writing on the wall The words seem empty cause there's nothing there at all We let the wise men beat the drums too soon We were just children of the moon. No one to turn to Nowhere to run to even if we could Too late to save us but try to understand The seas were empty there was hunger in the land.

The album was very nearly called Eclipse. From the beginning, the band had intended to call their new album Dark Side of the Moon – a reference to lunacy, as opposed to outer space – but when British heavy blues rockers Medicine Head released an album of the same name in 1972, it caused the Floyd to rechristen their project as Eclipse. We weren’t annoyed at Medicine Head, Gilmour told Sounds magazine
