Sometimes (Out of Body Mix). Main genre: Electronic, Dance. Contains samples of 1 song. Sound Effect, Other Soundtrack. Main Titles by James Horner (1986).

Sometimes is the debut solo album by City and Colour, a side project of Dallas Green, a guitarist and singer for the band Alexisonfire. However, due to high demand, the songs were compiled onto a studio album and released through Dine Alone Records.

For me it conjures up images of something absurd and transient - two things fundamental in the experience of listening to or making good pop music.

Out of Body Mix is a moody, proggy trancer that envelops you in its hypnotic layers... Amazing track. 10/10

The most rewarding track on this twelve, the Out of Body Mix, starts with what I think is a looped sample from JMJ's Oxygene. Now this is what I call a proper trance record, not that Goa nonsense that came later ;-). Still sounds great 20 years on, I'm very glad I kept my copy.As for the vocal samples, I always thought the main refrain was 'life....sometimes it seems your just a dream'. For the record, Whoosh also produced a rather excellent progressive vocal house track not long after this release called Exploring the New Mood, well worth listening to or buying if you should be that way inclined.

I'm surprised that there have been no comments about this tune to date. It is one of those releases that hovers somewhere between house, techno and acid. Quite unusually, the Spooky remixes are not the best thing about this release - the original is much more impressive. The song takes ages to build up but when it does kick it it just builds and builds. It has got some vocals drifting through it, saying: "Sometimes its just a dream" (well that is what I think it says!) and it has got a haunting light acid riff drifting through it as well. Absolute class.

i think it says, "space! sometimes you need some space to breathe!"
