Voi-La Intruder is the debut album by Gogol Bordello, released in 1999 by Rubric Records. The album is composed in two Movements. Tracks 1-10 are Movement One - Songs of Immigration, appx. 3. 1 min. Tracks 11-15 are Movement Two - Optzay Pertruder, appx. 2. 4 min. "Start Wearing Purple" was later re-recorded for Gogol Bordello's third album Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike.
Gogol Bordello – Voi-La Intruder. Label: Rubric Records – RUB38. Hands down gogol bordello's most underrated and, in my opinion, best album. Subtle and understated compared to the later albums. The roots are heavily evident.
