The discography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles and eight music downloads. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bass player John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented rock and often refused to release popular songs as singles.

Led Zeppelin is the debut album by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on 12 January 1969 in the United States and on 31 March in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in September and October 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, shortly after the band's formation. It contains a mix of original material worked out in the first rehearsals, and remakes and rearrangements of contemporary blues and folk songs

Led Zeppelin are inarguably one of the greatest live bands of all time, but unlike almost all of their peers, they never put any energy into putting together a great live album. The only live release during their original run is The Song Remains the Same, a soundtrack to their 1976 movie that mixes fantasy sequences with footage from their 1973 run at Madison Square Garden. This was the end of a very long and exhausting tour, and the band was simply not at their best. He began writing songs for Led Zeppelin's planned seventh album in the hospital; the group reconvened at a studio in Munich, Germany in November, banging out Presence in just eighteen days. The album begins with "Achilles Last Stand," a ten-minute beast of a song that ranks up there with the group's best work. The album originally received a mix reaction and they played very few of the songs live.

Led Zeppelin are about to reissue their 2003 live record, How the West Was Won, but Jimmy Page said more recordings of the legendary group in concert are on the way. In a recent interview, the guitarist said a new archival live project is due this year, with more to come later. I can't give the game away, but there's a recording that’s another multi-track that we'll release, he told Planet Rock (via Music Week). It's so different to all the other things that are out there. It's another view compared to How the West Was Won or The Song Remains the Same.

Led Zeppelin’s remastered album How The West Was Won, just confirmed, will be joined by an illustrated book in the next few months, with fans hungry for more and speculating on what founding guitarist Jimmy Page meant in an interview in October last year. There’ll be Led Zeppelin product coming out, for sure, that people haven’t heard because I’m working on that, he told the Academy of Achievement. He spoke of surprises in 2018 and added: Then I hope to be seen to playing, so I had better get on with it. How The West Was Won cover.
