Led Zeppelin : A Stroke in Stoke. Hard-Rock, United-Kingdom (2011 - Red Devil) Learn more. Hard-Rock - United-Kingdom Learn more.

The discography of the English rock band Led Zeppelin consists of eight studio albums, four live albums, nine compilation albums, sixteen singles and eight music downloads. Formed in London in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bass player John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band pioneered the concept of album-oriented rock and often refused to release popular songs as singles.

List of songs recorded by Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin were an English rock band who recorded 108 songs between 1968 and 1980.

Bredon was apparently unaware that Led Zeppelin had covered her song: When she found out in the Eighties, she agreed to split the royalties with the band, and is now listed as co-author. 2. Dazed and Confused. Page also did this song with the Yardbirds, but the origin is actually singer-songwriter Jake Holmes, who included it on his 1967 album The Above Ground Sound of Jake Holmes. When it came time for Plant to lay down vocals over Page’s guitar riff – one of the first times he ever contributed lyrics to a Zeppelin track–he quoted from You Need Love, a song written by Willie Dixon and sung by Muddy Waters in 1962. Dixon sued in 1985, settled out of court, and is now listed as co-writer.

Led Zeppelin are about to reissue their 2003 live record, How the West Was Won, but Jimmy Page said more recordings of the legendary group in concert are on the way. In a recent interview, the guitarist said a new archival live project is due this year, with more to come later. I can't give the game away, but there's a recording that’s another multi-track that we'll release, he told Planet Rock (via Music Week). It's so different to all the other things that are out there. It's another view compared to How the West Was Won or The Song Remains the Same.

Led Zeppelin had real Objects produced for the photoshoots. Shortly thereafter, Alva Museum Graphics in New York was contracted to produce 1000 individually numbered 12″ tall black Objects for Swan Song to use in their promotion of the record. This is the only time The Object was ever released by Swan Song/Atlantic Records. The Led Zeppelin Swan Song Records Logo.

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. As Led Zeppelin proves, the group was capable of such multi-layered music from the start. Although the extended psychedelic blues of "Dazed and Confused," "You Shook Me," and "I Can't Quit You Baby" often gather the most attention, the remainder of the album is a better indication of what would come later. Although the album isn't as varied as some of their later efforts, it nevertheless marked a significant turning point in the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal.
